Reflections from Governance North 2025

This week, I had the pleasure of attending (and chairing a panel at) Governance North, hosted by The Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland. It was a brilliant reminder of the energy, insight, and community that thrive within the governance profession — especially outside of London.

• The North is vast and vibrant – It’s brilliant to see events like this happening outside of London. Keep it up, CGI – regional inclusion matters, and we love to see it!

• Remote relationships can thrive – but there’s still something special about connecting in person. The energy, the conversations, the joy – it all adds up.

• I really enjoy chairing panel discussions – who knew?

• You can always learn more – even when you think you know a lot, there’s always room for fresh, practical insights.

• Here’s to next year – and to continuing the conversations in between!
