Kerry Round

FCS, Founding Director, Chartered Secretary (Fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute, Member of the CG Public Practice Scheme)

I make no secret that I’m determined to make the world a better place through good governance. My brain is an encyclopaedia of governance knowledge that I’ve been curating for 20 years in the business; I use it to support and assist clients from various organisations. I love troubleshooting, seeing the value our changes bring to clients, and building relationships along the way.

I established RGS to continue in the career I loved and because I needed flexibility to raise a young family. It’s hard work, but it’s also a privilege. It’s important to me to extend the ‘work anywhere, work anytime’ ethos to my team, and I’m proud of the organisation we’re building.

Away from work you’ll find me climbing mountains, running through the countryside or on a bike somewhere.

Helen Coley ACA

Non-Executive Director

I’ve worked for large corporates in senior finance roles for over 20 years. I understand how they operate and what makes good governance.

To bring my expertise to RGS enables Kerry and the team to prepare for the long-term sustainable success of the business. This strong foothold allows our clients to be supported by a governance consultancy who are professional experts, reliable, and in it for the long haul.

I’m used to constructively challenging so that RGS remains aligned with its purpose and long-term strategy.

Outside of work, I live for interior design, and I’m renovating several properties.

Kim Carey

Governance Support Manager

I've worked with Co Secs as part of the governance world for over 18 years. I've spent many years organising, prepping and planning board meetings. I have proofread more reports and accounts than I care to admit and spent many a LONG night getting them 'over the wall'!

I'm a 'Jack of all trades' and proud of that. There’s a kind of unwritten status to tasks rendered unworthy of one's attention once you’re out of the junior ranks. Well, that has no place in my manual. I'll happily type up your minutes, file a confirmation statement, organise your board meeting, or project manage your report and accounts process. I'm a can-do. I can, and I do. And what's more, I love it.

Away from the office, I love nothing more than a sing song with my local amateur dramatics group.

Claire Taylor

Solicitor and Governance Associate

“I trained as a solicitor because I wanted to understand the way people connect with people. What I found was that people and their personalities have an impact on every single legal transaction. I've since discovered that governance is exactly the same!

I've worked across the private, public and not-for-profit sectors for large companies, statutory charities and local government. Every organisation has a new set of rules and relationships to understand – it never gets boring!

My legal background means I can quickly grasp every RGS client's unique governance framework and succinctly explain complex situations diplomatically - in the form of advice for the Board, policies or reports.

Away from work, I'm a busy mum to three boys. I attempt to get some "me time" as an amateur artist exhibiting in local shows and exploring bookbinding.”

Jodi Overing

Office Manager

With a solid background in the world of planning and logistics, I honed my skills as a supply planner, always striving to unravel the intricacies of each process and find unique ways to improve them. This is my idea of fun in the workplace and it’s what I love to do for RGS!

I've recently embarked on an exciting journey into the realm of social media marketing. Combining my love for strategic thinking and creative storytelling, I've discovered a passion for crafting compelling online stories that captivate audiences and drive engagement.

When I'm not immersing myself in work, I'm a devoted mum to three energetic young boys who keep my world spinning. Life outside the office is full of laughter, adventure, and countless moments of joy. And in those rare moments of respite, you'll find me handmaking aromatherapy products.
